2023 RETREAT
“Gratitude Helps us Remember God’s Goodness”
Come join us for our first-ever Gratitude Retreat! This will be a great opportunity to connect with other members of the Gr8tful Tribe & Crafty Community, eyeball to eyeball. It will be a sweet time cultivating gratitude and community while crafting and all centered around Christ. Woven into our days will also be time to rest, shop and explore the surrounding areas. The retreat center is thirty minutes outside Waco, TX.
This year’s theme will be “Gratitude Helps us Remember God’s Goodness”
We are planning a weekend filled with food, fun and fellowship. We will enjoy meals together, pray together, get crafty and cultivate our relationship with Jesus more through various workshops along with a few surprises.
One thing we won’t keep as a surprise is our special guest who will be teaching a workshop and spending the weekend with us! We are so excited that Kami Higgins (@chipped_in_time_ on IG) is joining us for our first Gratitude Retreat. This will be our second retreat collaboration and I can’t wait to see what God does! We have been friends since the day we met eyeball to eyeball at the Glamp Inn (2018) and I have wanted to do another retreat with her after collaborating in 2019 for our Selah Retreat, w/ Crafty Destinations, and attending a couple of her retreats.
God has blessed Kami with AMAZING creativity and she loves to cultivate gratitude as well. Kami is on several Creative Teams, to include Project Gr8tful 3.0 and Jesus shines bright through everything she creates. If you haven’t experienced Kami in person, this will be such a fun opportunity to do so. Check out her IG for inspiration and to get to know her heart for Jesus.

Rockin’ “R” Retreat Center is a beautiful retreat center that is centrally located just outside of Temple, TX. The craft hall is a 3000 square foot area that provides a spacious, well-lit location for scrapbookers, quilters, beaders, knitters, weavers, card makers, and crafters…all creativity is welcomed! The facility is all under one roof…no braving the elements to catch a quick nap, take a shower, or grab something from your sleeping room; 24-hour access to your crafting space. Rockin’ R has lodging for 20 overnight guests with 5 guest rooms upstairs (staircase access) with a total of 20 twin beds, 3 full bathrooms and individually climate-controlled rooms along with the AMAZING studio mentioned above.
You will have an opportunity to request at least one of your roommates when you register but we cannot guarantee you will get to be roommates.
All meals will be provided, however, special meals are not available. The home has a full kitchen with a refrigerator and freezer for anyone who needs to bring their own food.
Check-In will begin at 4:30pm on Thursday, Sept 21, 2023
Check-out is at 12:00 pm on Sunday, Sept 24, 2023
Registrants will receive important follow-up emails from coordinators with additional information as the event date gets closer. And, we will have a Retreat Only Facebook page for planning and passing info along as well.

Please note that this event is only open to women.

Transportation to and from the retreat center is your responsibility.

This will be a relaxing weekend, with planned workshops, and opportunities for you to rest, craft and visit.

We will be organizing a “swap” of sorts for those who want to participate. More info to come.

To register and claim the EARLY-BIRD RATE of $897, we are offering two options:
If you would like to sign up using our payment plan, we are requiring a deposit of $299. You will then have two remaining monthly payments due on the same date in the first and second months after your initial deposit. So for example, if you submit your depsoit on May 6th, your next two payments will process on June 6th and July 6th. The deadline for all payments to be recieved is August 21, 2023. You can also pay in full if that works better for you!
Registration & Payment Disclaimer:
These events are hosted by The Gratitude Squad (Larissa, Angela, and Jana), on a budget just like you. We have a very strict "No Refund" policy. Once spots are reserved, plans are made for meals, rooms, and other retreat supplies, etc. We will, however, allow you to transfer your registration to someone else. If you have paid for your spot and need to transfer, the new participant can pay you and we will put their name on your registration. Lots of work for us but easy for you! Please understand, we cannot offer refunds. By registering you are acknowledging agreement with this policy.
Special note: When this event sells out we will start a waiting list. Please make sure to set aside the date and create a budget so you can take someone’s spot, without much notice, if they cannot attend as originally planned.
