Day 14: God C.A.R.E.S. For You Part 3 (Fourth post on our “Breakthrough” Conference)

It is really hard to narrow down my most favorite part of our Fall 2016 Women’s Conference this year.  However, the E in C.A.R.E.S. may be one of my favorite reminders as Alex continued to share the ways we can have victory over our own strongholds.

The E in C.A.R.E.S. is to Enlarge God over our circumstances.  I know this is not new news and yet, do we actually live like men and women who believe God > our challenges?  I know I don’t always live this way and I am working on changing that.  The sweet thing is that God has already been working in me to do this very thing as the hubs and I continue THRIVING through his current cancer diagnosis and as I do ministry both in person and on-line.

Alex encouraged us to pray into our challenges instead of whining through them.  That is a serious reality check right there for me!  Whining never gets us anywhere and it sure isn’t helpful to those around us.

In Job 38 we are reminded of how AMAZING God is as he recalls what He has done and can do in regards to heaven and earth.  Here I am just sharing a short part of that passage – please take time to read it all – especially when you are struggling with life and God’s will for it.

Job 38: 4-7 (NIV)

4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?

    Tell me, if you understand.

5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!

Who stretched a measuring line across it?

6 On what were its footings set,

    or who laid its cornerstone—

7 while the morning stars sang together

and all the angels[a] shouted for joy?

We are humbled by God’s response to Job.  This whole passage is the reminder:

God is so much GREATER than anything happening to us or in this world.

And Alex concluded this portion of our conference with the S in C.A.R.E.S. – to Sing through the breakthrough.  This takes me to my most favorite “motto” of sorts:  “Worship Wins The War”.  My friend Jenn Long introduced me to this concept and it has made the world of difference.   We are reminded to SING when things aren’t good; when things are tough; and when things are overwhelming.

Isaiah 54:1 (NIV) The Future Glory of Zion

54 “Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the Lord.”

I welcome you to share your experience with ENLARGING God in your circumstances and SINGING through your trials in the comments to encourage us all no matter where we are in our journey.

We only have one more post that will wrap up my personal notes from our AMAZING women’s Conference!!!  Thanks for taking this part of the blogging journey with me!
